That awkward moment when your saxophone is broken, but everybody just thinks it’s you…

So today in music class, we had a playing test where we had to play a ton of scales (yaaaaaaaay). I play the alto saxophone, and am pretty good if I do say so myself.

So it was my turn to play, and I was like K I got this.

But then I play, and it sounded like someone had stuffed a rag into my instrument and set the reed ablaze. I was so embarrassed, but I had to pretend that I wasn’t bothered and kept playing.

My music teacher had me replay the scale with one of my friends saxophones, but then I had to grab a different, school, one. I go to play it… And it also failed.

After what felt like hundreds of crap scenarios, I finally got through all of the scales and did okay, but still. And my friends kept on LOLing at me, and I had to pretend it was all part of my master plan for world domination.

Really? I wanted to cry. When my saxophone is broken, my heart is broken.
