This was the first weekend I spent at home since the summertime, and wow was it weird; I felt like I was supposed to be back in my dorm most of the time. My dogs went absolutely mad-cow crazy when they saw me, which was heartwarming. My aunts smiled and said hi, my dad – who picked me up- was smiling the whole drive home, and mom was as excited as ever when I walked through the door.
My sister? Her first words when she saw me were “GEMMY MY BIS SISTERRRR!!!” And then “go away you’re embarrassing.”
SISTERLY LOVE <3
I also got to see all of my friends and we acted just as idiotic as ever, and ultimately struggled to part ways.
In fact, it was so difficult that even though we had two cars to drop everyone off in, both cars dropped off at every house.
Speaking of cars, I drove for the first time in a month and a half and it was… Well, I guess you could say it was like riding a bike.
A bike that I haven’t ridden in a month and a half.
I couldn’t keep up much of a steady speed; I’d be going too fast and then too slow, and basically almost got buggered a couple times at red lights.
But I could finally blare music in the car with the wind whipping my hair again! As long as I was the only on in the car, of course. However, I played only 3 songs over and over and over again. Two because I missed feeling them in my lungs and I love the songs and one because I couldn’t stop playing it (I think I might be addicted). The songs were (and unsurprisingly so) Come What May and Elephant Love Medley from Moulin Rouge (I have a problem, yes, I know, but there is no need to be concerned), and Pressure by Ylvis. A stupid song, I know, but hey I think it’s catchy and it is certainly better than Robin Thicke’s crap.
All in all, it was a great weekend! Too bad I have to catch up on books I couldn’t bring myself to pick up, and study for a miderm tomorrow morning.
I really need to get a grip on my responsibilities and quit procrastinating. Oh well, I’ll make it a New Year’s resolution.
